Ken Maslen joined our team in April 2015 as our Livestock Sales Specialist. Ken will be focused with Steve on growing our Rural portfolio and comes to First National with over 10 years’ experience as a well respected licensed Stock and Station, auctioneer and Real Estate Agent.
Ken has previously worked for a major Stock and Station Agency in the central west, where he coordinated and auctioneered livestock, most recently at the Dubbo Saleyards, the largest regional market in the state. Ken has also marketed and sold Rural properties in these areas. As a qualified Level 2 Auctions Plus Assessor, we are now able to offer full marketing options that suit individual needs for our Rural customers with various avenues, such as Saleyards, Auctions Plus, paddock to paddock arrangements, feedlots, abattoirs, clearing and machinery sales and other various avenues of Livestock and Rural sales. Ken has many clients and networks in the industry from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Ken is a local boy raised on his parents’ (Bill & Sarah Maslen) cattle property North of Gloucester on the Manning River. Grandfathers Ken Maslen Senior was one of the original surveyors of the Gloucester area and Eric Higgins, was a former Gloucester Mayor and owner of Berrico. Family ties bring Ken and his family back to Gloucester, with his wife Amy and their 3 children.
