The clearance auction sale at “Ridgelands“on Mereweather Lane on Saturday saw a large crowd attend and strong prices achieved for a cross section of machinery, woodworking equipment and sundry items.
The team from First National Gloucester led by Steve Walker conducted the clearance auction on behalf of owners David and Joanne Robinson, who are relocating from Gloucester to Laurieton having sold two rural properties with First National.
The auction results included: Zetor 6245 4WD Tractor with bucket and blade $16,170.00, Hardi Boom spray $2,860.00, rotary mower $1,925.00, Sherwood 6ft heavy duty slasher $3,300.00, builders trailer $880. Over 115 buyers registered to bid coming from up and down the coast providing spirited bidding on most items. Catering was provided by the Waukivory Hall Committee.
Steve Walker from First National Gloucester commented saying “The sale was very positive with good results achieved in what is a fairly tight rural economy. Clearing sales are a real community event and a good opportunity for the vendors and buyers to sell at market and also in this case for the new owners Graham and Yvonne Stackman to meet a lot of the locals.”
Mr Walker continued saying “I would like to thank David and Joanne Robinson for the opportunity to sell their properties and wish them all the best with the move.”
Vendor David Robertson thanked the auctioneers saying “What a good result. We have pretty much cleared everything and with buyers from all over, the auctioneer was able to get through the lots quickly and achieve good solid prices. Everyone was happy”
